A lector proclaims the Word of God at any of our Eucharist celebrations in the parish. This ministry requires on-going training which is done at meetings either in the chapel of our church. At these meetings, we practice proclamation techniques, participate in faith-sharing on the  readings, and deal with any problems or concerns arising in the ministry itself.

Please see the bulletin for the most up to date meeting times:

Altar Servers

The Altar Server Ministry is a family ministry.

Our Altar Servers accepted a call to serve God and his people by assisting the Priest and Deacon with reverence, dignity and faith on the Altar.

Their commitment is not only a duty but a great honor as they are introduced to the vocation of priesthood or religious life.

By giving their time and talents to their parish community a seed is planted to inspire them to carry on their service in other ministries as they grow.

Pope John Paul II spoke to more than two thousand young men and women altar servers in Rome on August 12, 2001.

“You are the light of the world (Matt 5:14).  Your service cannot be limited to the inside of a church. It must shine in everyday life: in school, in the family, and in different realms of society. Because, whoever wishes to serve Jesus Christ inside a church must be his witness everywhere.”

We meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 1:00 pm in the Church.

1.     Must be 10 years of age or older
2.     Must have made their First Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, delegated by the Bishop, assist in the distribution of the Eucharist during the regularly scheduled Masses, as well as taking the Eucharist to hospitals, the sick and shut-ins of the parish.

Meeting Times:  Every second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the chapel. The diocese mandates that training be provided during the year on an on-going basis to anyone who is involved in this ministry.

Retreats are held during Advent and Lent each year.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are an extension of the Christ we adore in the Blessed Sacrament. They help make this powerful Sacrament real to our parishioners, especially to those unable to attend Mass due to their medical condition.
